New Wollturm building – Emmenhofareal, Derendingen
In Derendingen, the historic Emmenhof industrial site is developing into a lively residential and working quarter. Part of this is the Wollturm – a taller wooden building with residential and commercial space.
The project
The tower is a multi-storey timber hybrid building with a commercial base zone and residential floors above. The building envelope is designed as a prefabricated, rear-ventilated timber façade. The timber construction has large window areas, which ensure the high demands on thermal comfort in summer and winter, as well as a good supply of daylight inside the building. A high level of comfort is guaranteed.
